We will be starting to offer a weekly online version of Compline from Sunday 21 June starting at 9pm.
The ancient office of Compline derives its name from a Latin word meaning 'completion' (completorium). It is above all a service of quietness and reflection before rest at the end of the day. It is most effective when the ending is indeed an ending, without additions, conversation or noise. It lasts about 15 minutes and includes prayers, responses, a hymn and a reading.
We will use Zoom and the words will appear on screen. If you do not have a computer, you will still be able to join us by telephone and we can arrange to give you the words in advance. You will need to contact us for the link to join in. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com for details or if you have any questions. This service is open to everyone and we would love to see people from Willingham, Swavesey, Over, Northstowe and Longstanton.
